Bulbasaur Figurine
As someone who has spent countless hours playing Pokémon games, I can attest to the fact that the first generation of Pokémon holds a special place in many of our hearts.
And while there have been plenty of opportunities to collect Pikachu merchandise throughout the years, some of us die-hard fans prefer to show our love for the other Pokémon in the Kanto region. Enter Bulbasaur, the adorable grass-type Pokémon that captured our hearts from the first time we stepped into Pokémon.
And what better way to show our appreciation for this lovable creature than by collecting (or gifting) a Bulbasaur figurine? In this blog post, I’ll be taking a deep dive into the world of Bulbasaur figurines, sharing some of my favourite finds, and hopefully giving you the inspiration you need to start your own collection.
A Deep Dive Into the World of Bulbasaur Figurines
Before we begin, let’s take a quick look at what exactly a figurine is. In the simplest terms, a figurine is a small statue or sculpture of a person or animal, typically made of porcelain, metal, or plastic. In the world of Pokémon, we’re lucky enough to have a wide variety of figurines to choose from ranging in size, material, and even style.
While some collectors focus on the quality of the figurine, others are more drawn to the uniqueness of the design. Whatever your preference may be, there’s no denying that collecting Bulbasaur figurines can be a fun and rewarding hobby. Here are some of my favourite finds to get you started.
- The Funko Pop! Bulbasaur Figurine
Funko Pop! figurines have taken the world by storm in recent years, and for good reason. They’re affordable, fun, and come in a huge variety of designs. If you’re looking for a Bulbasaur figurine that won’t break the bank, the Funko Pop! version is a great place to start. Standing at around 4 inches tall, this figurine is made of vinyl and has the signature “chibi” style of a Funko Pop! character. - The MegaHouse Bulbasaur and Oddish Mini-Figure Set
If you’re looking for a Bulbasaur figurine that’s a little more high-end, the MegaHouse Mini-Figure Set may be just what you’re looking for. Made in Japan, this set includes not only a Bulbasaur figurine, but also an Oddish figurine. The attention to detail in this set is stunning, and the Bulbasaur figurine is poseable, which makes it perfect for displaying on your desk or bookshelf. - The Pokémon Center Original Bulbasaur Sleeping Pokémon Plush
While not technically a figurine, I couldn’t resist including this adorable plush in my list. If you’re a fan of both Bulbasaur and plush toys, this is a must-have. The bulb on Bulbasaur’s back doubles as a pillow, making this plush perfect for napping with. And if you’re looking for a Bulbasaur figurine that’s a little more snuggly, this is definitely the one for you. - The Good Smile Company Nendoroid Bulbasaur Figure
Last but not least, we have the Nendoroid Bulbasaur figurine from Good Smile Company. This figurine stands at around 3.5 inches tall and comes with a variety of interchangeable parts, including a Poké Ball and various facial expressions. The attention to detail on this figurine is incredible, from the texture of Bulbasaur’s skin to the little leaves on its back. If you’re looking for a Bulbasaur figurine that’s both high-quality and customizable, this is the one for you.
Final Thoughts
There you have it, folks! Whether you’re a seasoned Bulbasaur figurine collector or just starting out, I hope this list has given you some inspiration for your next purchase.
